Just looked at AfterEllen’s Top 50 Favorite Female Characters. If I had to choose a fictional lesbian character to “look up” to during my formative years, I’d pick Spencer Carlin over Santana Lopez every time. It’s a shame that Glee has totally fucked up Santana’s storyline, whereas SoN treated Spencer just like any other girl. She just happens to like girls.
